On Friday, January, 2021, Perchstone & Graeys’ Partner, Tolu Aderemi was formally invited to serve as a Visiting Professor at the Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State (ABUAD).
This is in line with ABUAD’s mission to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), through lifelong learning and continuous personal development among the wider community.
In fulfilment of this objective, the ABUAD Research and Innovation Directorate has put together innovative online professional development courses that aim to enhance capacity in areas of business development and negotiations, project management and financing, and transformational executive leadership.
Aderemi heads the Energy Practice Group of the Firm. He has more than a decade experience in the energy sector having handled and advised on complex transactions and commercial arbitrations in the oil and gas sector. The P&G partner also possesses a great understanding of the workings in the power sector and has advised on many transactions that cuts across power generation, distribution and most recently, the metering service regime of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission.
An author and regular speaker at local and international conferences, Tolu Aderemi has delivered papers at International Chambers of Commerce (ICC YAF) Conference, London (2012), the Global Oil & Gas Professional Forum, Netherlands (2013). His recent publications include, “Re-Visiting the Petroleum Industry Bill in Times of Crude Oil Price Decline: A Catalyst for Increased Foreign Direct Investment”
