Chambers and Partners at its 2022 Africa Awards held in earlier this month declared Banwo & Ighodalo, as the 2022 Nigerian Law Firm of the Year.
The prestigious awards recognise law firms and practitioners and their pre-eminence in separate jurisdictions and regions and reflect achievements on a 12-month preceding year basis including outstanding work, impressive strategic growth, and excellence in client service.
The five Nigerian law firms shortlisted and considered at the Africa 2022 awards were: Aluko & Oyebode; Banwo & Ighodalo; Jackson, Etti & Edu; Olaniwun Ajayi LP; and Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie. The awards considered the shortlisted candidates on the degree of innovative, outstanding, and complex transactions worked on in the preceding year by each of the shortlisted firms. Banwo & Ighodalo emerged winner at the 2022 edition of the Chambers Africa Awards based on some of its key achievements in 2021.
